I was looking for some contemporary Elizabethan makeup looks and somehow stumbled over BJ Pascual's website and I just like a lot of his work. While looking through the archive I found some images of Jessica Yang which give a contemporary Elizabethan feel. Her skin is rather pale and her lips are red but only in the center. The modern touch would be definitely the heavy black eye shadow underneath the eyes and the shape of the lips. Also you could refer the colors that have been used to the Elizabethan era. For the make up they used black, gold and red which were often worn and expensive colors during the Elizabethan era. The hair as well gives an Elizabethan feel. It is very voluminous and it looks like it has been curled and the brushed out to give it texture. Also the shape looks like it has got padding on the sides than rather on top of the head like it would have been for an Elizabethan lady.
